60 seconds with the Winner of our Fiji Honeymoon Giveaway

After announcing the winner to our Fiji Honeymoon Escape, we wanted to take a minute with Vanessa Fernley to find out just how she felt about winning a luxurious honeymoon to Fiji.

What was your first reaction when you found out you’d won? Disbelief!

How did your fiance react? The same, he thought I was kidding.

What does it mean to the two of you, to be able to spend your honeymoon in Fiji? It’s amazing to be able to go somewhere so exquisite and beautiful. Somewhere we have always wanted to go but never got around to going. And of course the money it will save us, we feel very privileged.

What do you think you’ll enjoy most about the trip? The beaches, the food, swimming and relaxing.

As a soon to be blushing bride, what would you say is the most frustrating thing about the wedding planning process? Trying to work full time and plan the wedding is the first thing. The second would be table settings. I joked it would be easy but it really isn't.

What tips would you offer brides out there pulling their hair out planning their special day? Organise everything ahead of time as much as possible. If the magazines suggest to do something 3 months out, aim for 5 or 4 months. It takes the pressure off when you get closer. Also, work on the little things. The ceremony, music list for reception, running schedule for the reception, things like that.
