It is also important that you have your wedding stationery decided on and sorted out at least 5 to 6 months prior to the big day in order to avoid last minute rushes, which could end up missing the window to send out your wedding invitations, which could then result in your guest’s response time reducing. Also, do not forget that the invitations need to be sent out at least 6 to 8 weeks prior to the wedding date and if you are sending it overseas, then they should be done so even earlier.

If you are a fan of rustic charm and the elegance of chic, then you will find a perfect balance in the style known as Rustic Chic. Combing the best of both into one entity, rustic chic brings a homely yet classy appeal to your item of design. In this case, we are focusing on rustic chic wedding invitations, in varied themes but in essence the same style. Let us find out more about how your wedding invitations can be inspired from rustic chic styling.

chic wedding invitations

Let us first understand the two styles infused in one before embarking on the style known as rustic chic. Rustic had more of a homely and affordable appeal, before it was revamped to convey sophistication and trendiness while still being affordable. Wood and earthly elements is important to a rustic style, beautiful and unique pieces of wood, to polished surfaces and twigs tie very well into the rustic charm. From beautiful latticework to clean lines and patterns are held hand in hand with it, which is mostly done in contrasting shades of earthy colours, from the white and off-whites and cream to brown and shades of beige.  When you take rustic wedding invitations and a rustic wedding theme, you might find yourself with wooden like textures or polished look that carry sophistication as a whole.

Chic on the other hand, as a style means to be stylish or smart, bringing in some form of control into the range of possibilities. Therefore, when you combine chic with a rustic style, you bring in elegance to a sophisticated element, making it cleaner and more appealing. Therefore, when you opt for rustic chic wedding invites coupled with a rustic chic wedding theme, you find yourself with a balance between two opposite style elements, cohesively united for a grand and elegant effect.

When you take wedding invites to be rustic chic, you find yourself with browns, cream, off-white hues, and the odd brilliant white in the mix. Mostly, you find yourself with wood textures as the base or background paper with dark brown text, but also, white or off-white with dark brown text works out well too. Embossing or texture paper is quite lovely and can be included in this styling, with the likes of letter pressing as the finer details on your wedding invite cards. Try out a few options that are available in this theme, by trying out accessories and accents and ordering samples so you can visually assess which one to decide on as the winning wedding invitation for your special day.

Fuchsia is the name of colour that most people recognise as a hot dark pink, but actually it’s a shade that originates from the flower also known as Fuchsia. The flower is actually a tiered flower, with petals and their colours ranging from a soft red to a hot pink and gradually purple in colour. The flower alone can be used for your wedding theme, or even the wedding invitation theme with the colours in mind.

When you think of a fuchsia for wedding, it does not mean that everything will a shade of pink, but actually could be that the focal colour, apart from white reserved for the bride, will be so. It could be from the wedding invitations in pink or even purple or a pinkish red with white text or vice versa. But, for those who want a fuchsia floral wedding, then you could feature the flower in the decor and the bouquets and also use an illustration or photographic element in your wedding invitations, bringing it in full circle.

Fuchsia Wedding Invitations

The wedding decor in itself may play a big role in deciding what you are going to do and which colours you will pick to complement your colour of choice, being fuchsia. The colour themes for the decorations at your wedding can be anything from complementary colours that go well with fuchsia, or monochromatic with varying shades of fuchsia, pink, purple and red. The easiest way to make a statement of your fuchsia wedding theme would be to feature a Fuchsia flower for effect. However, that does not mean you cannot include other flowers of the same hue.  From the likes of Peony, Nerine Lily, Anemone, a Rose, Hyacinth, Sweet Pea, Ranunculus, Spray Rose and a French Tulip, all in the pink variety, you have yourself some lovely Fuchsia flowers for your wedding decor, and some inspiration for your wedding invites.

Fuchsia goes well with many colours, but as it is a bold colour, the colour that goes with it needs to be somewhat calming to create an elegant look for your big day.  Sage, lime, orange, ivory, to white and black and even cyan would be colours that would go well when you choose fuchsia as your main colour. Whether it is the decor, to the floral accents to the bridesmaid’s dresses, this colour is a great choice. Indulge; it is your wedding day.

Find your choice of Fuchsia wedding invitation in the DreamDay Invitations wedding invite collections.

Almost every bride wants a white wedding, is one such colour but since nearly everyone wants that choice of colour, being unique is a little difficult. In order to bring in some originality, you could opt for a colour choice that is close to white, of which Ivory is an ideal choice. From your wedding invitations to your attire and decor, you can opt for ivory as the perfect substitute for white.

Ivory is essentially a neutral colour, with a slight earthy tone to it, that is more often creamy than brown. It also has a certain lustre, which brings out a pleasant and calming effect. Often said to hold the meaning of purity, it is elegant to behold. Choosing ivory as one of your colours, or the principle colour of your wedding day would be a great idea. The best part about is also that it compliments other colours in a great way.

ivory-wedding-invitations

If you have chosen ivory as the colour of your wedding dress, then you need to figure out the accompanying colours, or even a colour theme.  There are many choices, as you would have with white, but due to the creaminess of ivory, you might opt for some colours that go better with it than most.  Popular choices of colour themes include the likes of Ivory & Champagne, Ebony & Ivory, which respectively are either end of the spectrum in terms of contrast and hue with regard to the brown associated with the focal colour. However, there is no rule that says that you need not include some colour in your life.

You have the option of going for either complementary colours or monochromatic colours. The former involves colours that are opposite your colour of choice, thus giving you a sense of contrast, whilst monochromatic includes colours that are on the same spectrums but of varying shades. Complementary colours are ideal with ivory wedding invitations where you use solids like blue, green, yellow and even red to accentuate the tone of the neutral colour by creating a contrasting effect. However, for the monochromatic look, you could even opt for the ivory shades, such as that of Ivory and Champagne, or even a secondary colour such as red, where you will see the shades of light rose to deep red whilst being set against the neutral ivory colour. Such wedding invitations are common, and are nice to look at. Choose your colours wisely, but do not hesitate to use ivory as your focal colour to come up with elegant ivory wedding invitations.
