Wedding Invitations and Colour Trends for 2010 with tips for choosing.

24 May

Choosing your Wedding Colours  is an important part of your wedding planning and can take plenty of time, especially if you are not set on a particular colour from the start.  Of course some brides know, even from before they are engaged, the colour and look they wish for their own magical wedding, but for many, it is a difficult decision with many factors to consider.
You may have a favourite colour you would like to feature. Use it in your Wedding Invitations, Wedding Stationery, Bridesmaid gowns, Men’s ties, Floral bouquets and arrangements, and wedding reception décor.
Dreamday Invitations has a extensive collection of modern designer colours represented in their Wedding Invitations range with modern floral prints, plain colours and exclusive motifs, and  DIY templates in today’s fresh colours ready for you to add your own magic finishes.

If you have your own adored and beloved colour , then that is the colour that should feature in your wedding plans, or shades of it. Choose a Wedding Invitation that uses your colour as as its feature, encorporate it in your Bridal attire with Bridesmaids gowns or Men’s ties etc, use it as an accent in your bridal bouquet and tie it with matching satin or organza ribbons, and decorate your reception with matching accessories and table centerpieces to give your colour scheme maximum impact.
If you don’t have a particular colour in mind, you might like to follow modern current wedding trends  and pick colours that are deemed to be up-to-minute in fashion and style. See our list later in this article for ideas.
Use your feature colour as a highlight only, as an accent in bouquets and wedding apparel. Use it as a focal point in your reception décor and build complimentary colours around it.  Don’t make everything your feature colour or it could overpower your entire décor.
We have researched newlyweds, our sales statistics and the internet for the ‘avant-garde’ in the freshest colour ideas available, and have come up with some stunning combinations and beautiful feature
colours that could suit every bride and groom for their own extraordinary wedding day.Some of them may seem unlikely pairs, but take some time, think about and visualize your day, and you may rethink some of these combinations, because from our experience, we know when used correctly they can look absolutely stunning.

Some of the latest wedding colour trends for Wedding Invitations for 2010 are;

Black and White
Coral and Grey or Silver
Red with Black

However, you need to think about your bridesmaids. While it is your day, and your decision on colour choice you should ask for their opinions and feelings about colours they most like to wear, what colours look good on them and tones and hues that suit their hair colouring and skin tones. No one wants an unhappy bridesmaid that doesn’t think she looks nice.
You need to consider the time of year you are getting married. Will it be hot and summery, or will it be a winter event? Your colour choice can represent the feel of the season. Warm, rich, deeper colours like Burgundy, Burnt Orange, Deep Reds, Amber and Purples give a memorable visual display for a winter wedding. While bright Blues, Lilacs, Pinks, and Aquas are perfect for that summery feel with Beach or garden summer weddings. Use Soft pastels and Neutrals for a Romantic wedding setting that will never be forgotton.
Look around you, take some time and think about it, find a colour that inspires you and makes you feel good. Whether its from the beauty of nature, or your own personal life, you probably already have ‘your perfect colour’ focused in other parts of your life and don’t even know it.
Dreamday Invitations are proud to help you make your Dreamday come true.
