    A wedding announcement is used to share the news with friend or family of a marriage or wedding that has already taken place, maybe overseas while on holiday etc. or when the wedding was a private event, or after an elopement. They are generally sent out as soon as possible after the wedding, and should include such details as the Bride and Groom's names, wedding date, wedding location, and a new address for the newlyweds so congratulations cards can be sent.
